Part 2:The Child Monk

This documentary will examine the educational and cultural experiences of Tibetan children and also provides a look at the daily life of child monks and nuns.  Drawing parallels with children in the western world it demonstrates the differences in schooling methods,social life, and the like providing the audience with a unique view of Tibetan culture taken from a child's perspective.

Interviews with Tibetans who grew up in Tibet, as well as those who are presently studying and living in the monasteries of India and elsewhere in the world, will be included. The prelimenary video footage looks at schooling environment experiences of the Tibetan children, and shows highlights of a few Monasteries in India where Tibetan child monks are educated.
